An unconventional doom trio built around two bass guitars and drums — with no traditional guitar — Mortem Crucis (Rex, Reverend Hell Insane, and Master Blaster) creates a thick, funeral-paced sound centered on death, consciousness, and dystopia. Their debut album "The Coffin Ride" arrived in March 2024 via Gate of Doom Records, following a two-track self-titled EP from 2021.

A one-woman raw black metal project by Null (Iarly Patricio), Mortem Solis deals in occultism and solitude through a deliberately lo-fi, old-school aesthetic that drew notice from the international underground press. The cassette demo "Lamentos do Alvorecer" was released in 2023 through Anti You Rec, Apokalipse Kotidiano, and Fat Zombie.

Formed in Uberlândia by guitarist Gabriel Tino and bassist Macarrão, Morterror plays straightforward death metal rooted in the genre's fundamentals while drawing on a wide range of metal influences. Their 2021 EP Sertão da Maldição is a four-song cycle built around local horror folklore — specifically the curse-laden deaths of a remote interior settlement called Sertão da Farinha Velha — with tracks like "Sangue Podre" and "Boi Fumaça" translating those dark regional legends into crushing riffs.

Mortespermia deal in aggressively lo-fi, necro black metal that draws heavily from the second-wave aesthetic — raw production, occult and left-hand-path lyrical themes, and an uncompromising underground ethos. Their 2016 cassette demo xXx Raw xXx, pressed to 66 copies on Depressive Illusions Records, was followed by the 2019 split O Miasma Misantropo das Covas on Kult of Bloody Rites, placing them firmly within the global raw black metal tape-trading underground.

One of the oldest extreme metal bands in Paraná, Morthal trace their origins to 1987 and are often cited as the pioneer of the death/thrash style in the state, performing shows as far as Brasília and Asunción in the mid-1990s and releasing a split LP with Tumulto in 1992 that drew national attention in the underground press. After roughly 18 years of inactivity, the band reformed with vocalist Nilton Bobato and guitarist Zepa Costa among its ranks, picking up where their gritty, war-themed death/thrash left off.

Morthifera is a thrash metal band formed in 2010 in González Catán, Greater Buenos Aires, by drummer Cristian Romero along with guitarist Sergio Noriega. The band built their name on socially charged, working-class-rooted thrash, releasing the EP Régimen de Sangre in 2011, the full-length Basurero Humano through Icarus Music in 2016, and the independently released Apócrifo in 2019.

Morthur is a power trio from Erechim, Rio Grande do Sul, featuring guitarist and vocalist Jeferson Casagrande alongside drummer André Cândido and bassist Fabricio "Ganso" Macali, blending old-school and modern death metal influences into a dense, riff-driven sound. Their 2017 debut album Between the Existence and the End, co-released by Sangue Frio Produções and ABC Terror Records, marked them as a serious entry in the southern Brazilian underground death metal scene.

Morthure emerged from Curitiba's underground scene with a sound anchored in the crossover zone between thrash and death metal, carrying the weight of the band's earlier existence as Overlook. Their debut album Where Everything Shall Die, an eleven-track record released independently, established their appetite for punishing riff structures and aggressive tempos.

Active since 1999 and anchored in Minas Gerais, Mortifer Rage — built around the core of vocalist/bassist Carlos Pira, guitarists Robert Aender and R. Amon, and drummer Angelo Petterson — play punishing brutal death metal with a career spanning EPs like Field of Flagellation and full-lengths including Fall of Gods (2017). Their 2024 album Plagues Requiem, recorded at Maçonaria do Áudio in Nova Lima and released through Demoncratic Records, confronts themes of human manipulation and historical atrocity with the band's characteristic density and aggression.
