Psicodeath is a death metal band from Londrina, Paraná, with roots documented on Metal Archives going back to a 1994 cassette demo titled "Devastated World." The band's early activity placed them among the first wave of extreme metal acts to emerge from Paraná's interior, a region less prominent in the Brazilian death metal canon than São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro.
Psiconauta is a sludge and doom duo from Pernambuco, Brazil, consisting of Anderson Moss on vocals and guitars and Ad Luna on drums, active since 2012 and self-described as an "original Brazilian Sludge/Doom entity." The band released the two-track "Hunting Day" EP in December 2018, recorded and mixed at Pólvora Studio, and contributed the 14-minute track "Deep Mantra (Prajnaparamita Mantra)" to the Doomed & Stoned Latinoamerica Vol. I compilation in February 2018.
Psicopatia formed in the satellite city of Planaltina on the outskirts of Brasília, with a lineup including vocalist Morto Apodrecido, guitarist Solfieri, and drummer Doentio. The band released the three-track "Letargia" demo in July 2019 through Balrog Rec, and followed it with the "Náusea" EP in 2022; both releases were compiled alongside rehearsals and bonus tracks on "Último Suspiro" (2024, Auditive Cut Records).
Psicorragia is a death/doom metal band from Lima, Peru, formed in 1994, making them one of the longer-standing extreme metal acts in the country. Their sound blends the crushing tempos of doom with the morbid atmosphere of death metal, exploring themes of death, cult worship, and abstract horror. Key releases include the full-lengths Madremuerte (2016) and Salve Mater Mors (2020), the latter released through Postunder.
Psicosfera are an avant-garde black metal quartet from Morón, Buenos Aires, who began as an instrumental post-metal outfit before incorporating vocals and darker black metal elements across three albums: AlphA (2015), Beta (2018, picked up by Avantgarde Music), and Summa Negativa (2023, released via Lavadome Productions). The band features guitarists Gabriel Sabatini and Gabriel Luque — both also active in acts such as Abolition of Impediment, Inexistence, and Vil — alongside bassist Juan Martin Venezia and drummer Juan Facundo Brinville.
Psicosis is a thrash and groove metal band from Managua, Nicaragua, formed in 2008 with the stated goal of reviving the Nicaraguan thrash scene. The band released their debut full-length Toska in January 2018, an eleven-track record blending classic thrash aggression with groove-oriented riffing. They remain active and independent, representing one of the more enduring metal acts in the Nicaraguan capital.
Psychagogos is a Brazilian black metal project formed in 2014, signed to Darker than Black Records, with lyrical themes centered on paganism, philosophy, and fantasy. The band released a self-titled cassette demo in 2019, its only documented release to date, available through the Darker than Black catalogue.
Psycho Walls is a three-piece from Tucuruí, Pará, formed by Adson Ricardo (drums and vocals), João Paulo Rodrigues (bass and vocals), and Renan Albuquerque (guitar and vocals). The band recorded their debut EP "Get Psyched!" at Albuquerque's home studio in February 2014, releasing it in March of that year with five tracks including "Jeff Groupies," "Big Saloon Of Souls," and "Golden Era."
Psychodeath is a deathcore band from Vitória, Espírito Santo, who debuted with the "Psycho EP 2011" and won the Espírito Santo regional of Wacken Metal Battle Brazil that same year. Their first full-length album, "Someone to Harm," was released in December 2012 and circulated on international extreme music websites, expanding the band's reach beyond the Capixaba metal scene where they had shared stages with acts including Paul Di'Anno and Torture Squad.
