Umzac are a symphonic gothic/folk metal band from Bogotá, Colombia, formed in 2010, whose name derives from the Chibcha language of the Muisca people and translates roughly to "darkness." Rooted in Muisca legends and mythology, their music incorporates traditional Colombian rhythms including Bambuco and Pasillo, and they released their debut EP Usqua Quyca | Hilando Historias in October 2017.
