Morbidead began in 2014 as a solo outlet when its founder's previous band, Defecation of Putrid Blood, went on hiatus. After a long pause, the project returned with a shifted focus toward doom/death metal with thrash influences, documenting that evolution across a string of demos including The Essence of Black Forest and Gaia, The Lady of Chaos.
Morbidoom trace their roots back to 1993, making them one of the older black metal outfits from the interior of Minas Gerais. The band documented their early phase through the demo tapes Seven Swords of Lucifer (1995) and Ares... The Call of War (1999), drawing on warrior mythology and occult themes before going dormant and eventually returning to activity around 2015.
Morbo Chacaleitor is a death/thrash metal band from San Felipe, Chile. The band released two albums in quick succession: Crónicas Macabras in October 2019 and Inconsciente Asesino in September 2020, the latter a six-track record featuring Spanish-language tracks rooted in violent and urban themes.
Morbosus is a Buenos Aires black/death metal duo founded in July 2012 by guitarist Burner of the Cross and vocalist/drummer Infernal Commando Necromansy, drawing primary influence from the raw South American extreme metal of Sarcófago, Vulcano, and early Sepultura. The band released their debut album Black Death Commando in September 2014, a five-track record steeped in themes of Satanism and blasphemy.
Morbus Sacer plays a raw, uncompromising hybrid of black and death metal rooted in the South American underground tradition. Their 2017 demo, Demo MMXIII, was released on cassette through Aurora Australis and delivers four tracks — Iron Cleaves, Obliteration, Salve of the Enervated, and Non Serviam — with a crude, hostile production that suits the material.
Morbydia drew from the European gothic doom tradition — think Paradise Lost and early Tristania — blending mournful female vocals with heavy, melody-driven riffs and keyboard atmospherics. The band released the album "Saturnia" and earlier recorded "Requiem To The Sun" through Avernus Records, building a small but devoted following in the Brazilian underground before splitting up.
Active since the early 2000s, Morcrof weaves black and doom metal through a lens of occultism, mysticism, and existential philosophy, with Latin and Hebraic titles underscoring the band's esoteric leanings. Their 2005 full-length "Machshevet Habriá (Myths and Conjectures of Creation)" stands as a cornerstone of their catalog, and they have remained prolific into the 2020s with releases including the 2022 full-length "De Pessimism Philosophiam et Dogma Nihilistic."
Mordaza is a death metal band from Acayucan, Veracruz, Mexico, formed in 2015. The band released their debut full-length, El orden del caos, in 2020 on Mexican Steel Prods, following a 2018 demo. A 2022 single, The Dispossessed, marks their most recent recorded output.
Mordeth have cultivated one of the most idiosyncratic voices in Brazilian extreme metal since the early 1990s, blending dissonant death metal with progressive structures and a persistent fascination with science fiction, futurism, and existential philosophy. Their debut "Lux In Tenebris" (1993) established the blueprint, and after a long hiatus the band returned with "The Unknown Knows" (2018) and "Hermetic Creation" (2025), both of which continued to push their sound into increasingly dense and conceptually ambitious territory.
