One of São Paulo's most enduring extreme metal acts, Nervochaos have been churning out abrasive, chaotic death metal since 1996, with a catalog spanning ten studio albums and drawing influence from Morbid Angel, Vader, and Sinister. Their 2022 album All Colors of Darkness, released via Emanzipation Productions, is their tenth full-length and keeps the formula intact: satanic lyrical themes, brutal atmosphere, and a technical backbone refined over nearly three decades.

Nervosa is an all-female thrash metal band founded in São Paulo, Brazil in 2010 by guitarist Prika Amaral and drummer Fernanda Terra, with Fernanda Lira joining shortly thereafter on bass and vocals. Their debut Victim of Yourself (2013) announced a relentless, Teutonic-influenced thrash attack, and the band sustained momentum through Agony (2016) and Downfall of Mankind (2018) despite numerous lineup changes. Amaral has helmed the project through multiple roster shifts, continuing into the Napalm Records era with Perpetual Chaos (2021) and Jailbreak (2023).

Nervus were a thrash metal band from Blumenau who recorded under the name with an aggressive, riff-forward approach rooted in classic South American thrash. Their Bandcamp release The Evil One showcases tightly wound guitar work and a no-frills intensity before the band eventually dissolved.

Neshamot bring a dense, orchestrated edge to black metal, weaving symphonic arrangements around themes of darkness, death, and the cosmic horror of H.P. Lovecraft. Formed in Osasco in 2016, the band operates independently and has maintained an active presence in the underground symphonic black metal circuit.

The solo project of Cris Oliveira, Nestor Durruti channels classic heavy and power metal through an explicitly anarchist lens, naming the band after the Spanish anarchist icon Buenaventura Durruti. The 2020 debut Passos includes a cover of Judas Priest's 'Electric Eye' alongside original material steeped in libertarian politics and melodic metal craft.

Netherbound began in Porto Alegre as a straightforward thrash outfit before progressively expanding their sound toward more ambitious, technically complex territory. Their two releases, the EP Epidemic Salvation (2013) and the full-length Holy Human Plague (2015), trace this evolution from punch-first thrash to a more layered progressive metal approach.

This Belém trio — Rodrigo Barros on guitar and vocals, Cosme dos Santos on bass, and Paulo Wallace on drums — deal in fast, working-class crossover thrash with lyrics that swing between urban violence, horror film nods, and a frank affection for cachaça. Their 2015 album De Ressaca no Inferno captures the raw, sweat-soaked energy of the northern Brazilian underground.

Netuno Doom blended stoner and sludge with progressive and doom textures, threading science fiction and Lovecraftian cosmic horror through slow, heavy riffs. The Fortaleza trio of Adriano Alves, Hewerson Freitas, and Bosco Lacerda released the conceptual EP The Universe The Prison in 2018, one of the more distinctive stoner/doom efforts to emerge from the northeast Brazilian underground.
