Nely Arocalypse is a Chilean solo metal project blending old-school heavy metal and thrash with acoustic folk and rock elements. The project launched with the debut album "Antiplanic Winter" in October 2020, described as "heavy metal forged from the mined metals of Chile and the world," followed by the 24-track acoustic record "Salar de Acoustica" in June 2021.
Nemoris is a black metal band from Córdoba, Argentina whose discography includes the albums Hell's Glacial Solitude (2011), Esoteric Visions of the Old Ritual (2013), and Black War (2020). The band, whose vocalist is credited as Svart Sjel, builds their sound around themes of Satanism and occultism and has remained an independent underground act throughout their career.
Nenavist blends atmospheric black metal, depressive black metal, and ambient into a cold, suffocating sound rooted in hatred and despair — the name itself means "hatred" in Slavic languages. Their 2024 release "Genom Screams" marks the project's early output, distributed through Wraith Productions.
Neoplasia is a brutal/technical death metal band from Punta Alta, Buenos Aires, Argentina, whose discography includes Amputation Sounds (2018) and Stirring Clots (2021), the latter featuring American session drummer Marco Pitruzzella. The band's lineup on Stirring Clots comprised David Trefilio on guitars, Juan Pablo Pereyra on vocals, and Juan Manuel Ronda on bass and vocals.
Originally operating under the name Interior Soul before adopting the Nephasth moniker in 1999, this death metal unit built an early reputation through tape-trading alongside peers like Krisiun and Rebaelliun, and landed on Relapse Records' influential Brazilian Assault compilation. Their 2001 Mercenary Musik debut Immortal Unholy Triumph established their relentless approach, followed by the technically sharpened Conceived by Inhuman Blood in 2004 before the band dissolved in 2005.
Credited as one of the earliest heavy metal bands to emerge from Campina Grande, Nephastus built their sound on hyper-speed riffing and punishing mid-tempo passages in the mold of Sepultura, sharing stages with that band and Kreator during the Brazilian underground's formative years. Their 1991 album Tortuous Ways, released on the Whiplash label, remains the key document of their early thrash and death metal attack.
Neros Benedictios fuse black metal's cold aggression with strongly melodic and acoustic passages, drawing lyrical material from literature, nature, occultism, and philosophical reflection rather than shock-value satanism. Their 2018 debut full-length Ermo, released on Dead Paradise Records, envelops the listener in a suffocating atmosphere of solitude, alternating between clean and guttural vocals over heavy and introspective compositions.
One of São Paulo's most enduring extreme metal acts, Nervochaos have been churning out abrasive, chaotic death metal since 1996, with a catalog spanning ten studio albums and drawing influence from Morbid Angel, Vader, and Sinister. Their 2022 album All Colors of Darkness, released via Emanzipation Productions, is their tenth full-length and keeps the formula intact: satanic lyrical themes, brutal atmosphere, and a technical backbone refined over nearly three decades.
Nervosa is an all-female thrash metal band founded in São Paulo, Brazil in 2010 by guitarist Prika Amaral and drummer Fernanda Terra, with Fernanda Lira joining shortly thereafter on bass and vocals. Their debut Victim of Yourself (2013) announced a relentless, Teutonic-influenced thrash attack, and the band sustained momentum through Agony (2016) and Downfall of Mankind (2018) despite numerous lineup changes. Amaral has helmed the project through multiple roster shifts, continuing into the Napalm Records era with Perpetual Chaos (2021) and Jailbreak (2023).
