Dawn Back is a stoner metal band from Mogi das Cruzes, São Paulo, Brazil, formed around 2013–2014 by guitarists Alan Nisiyamamoto and Rafael Rocas alongside vocalist/bassist Luiz Gustavo and drummer Getúlio Bonelli. Originally formed as a power trio in 1991 with drummer Sandro Stecanela and bassist Fábio Alves, the group recorded the instrumental progressive metal albums "Ad Dei Gloriam" (1994) and "Universe" (1997), drawing on influences ranging from jazz-fusion to Indian classical music. Marcos De Ros is recognized by Rolling Stone Brasil as one of 70 Brazilian guitar masters and was the first Brazilian guitarist to release an instructional CD-ROM internationally.
