Ban Lesage is a Buenos Aires band formed in 2012 that began in metalcore before moving toward black metal in later years. Their 2015 release "Revolt" — a six-track record featuring songs such as "Anima," "Words Hurt," and the title track — captures the transitional edge between their heavier, more abrasive later sound and their earlier roots.
Banda de la Muerte is a stoner/heavy metal quartet from El Palomar, Buenos Aires, formed in 2009 and drawing on the heavy riff traditions of Black Sabbath, Melvins, and Black Flag. The band released the album "Pulso de una Mente Maldita" and the Argentine rock covers collection "Seis Canciones" (2013), and have taken their live show to Europe including dates in the Netherlands, UK, Germany, Switzerland, and Belgium.
Bandanos were a thrash/crossover band from São Paulo who emerged from the city's hardcore punk veteran pool with a mission to revive the raw energy of bands like D.R.I., Suicidal Tendencies, and Excel. Over their active years they released multiple albums — including "Nobody Brings My Coffin Until I Die" (2014) and several splits — and mounted an extensive European tour in 2009 spanning 28 shows across 11 countries. They split up in the 2010s after building a loyal following in the underground crossover circuit.
Banni Conflict is a grindcore band from São Paulo that has been grinding since the mid-2000s with a discography spanning demos, splits, and EPs. Their 2015 EP "Cidadão Comun" is among their more notable releases, and the band appeared on international grindcore compilations including a 2014 tribute to Belgian grind legends Agathocles. The current lineup of Jander (vocals), Paulo PH (guitar), Fábio (bass), and Will (drums) continues to carry the São Paulo grind tradition.
Baphomaster were a sludge/doom metal band from Rio de Janeiro whose sound drew on leviathan-weight riffs and desperate, abrasive vocals. Their 2015 demo — recorded live in rehearsal with a single microphone at Estúdio Fórum — introduced tracks like "Swamp of Sorrow" and "The Abyss," capturing a raw, suffocating atmosphere. They followed that with the album "Bong Or Die" in 2018 before splitting up, leaving behind a short but genuinely heavy catalog.
Baphometh were a black metal band from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, active in the early-to-mid 2010s before splitting up. Porto Alegre has produced a distinct strand of Brazilian black metal influenced by both the raw South American tradition and Northern European styles, and Baphometh operated within that underground, releasing material independently with occult and adversarial themes.
Baphometron is a Black Metal band from Manizales, Colombia, founded in 1998 and currently based in Pereira, Risaralda. They operate under Dark Circles Productions and released their debut demo "Baphomilenios" in September 2023, a two-track recording sung in Spanish.
Barbaria are a heavy metal band from Mogi Mirim, a city in the interior of São Paulo state, formed in 2025 and among the newest entries in Brazil's sprawling regional metal underground. With lyrical themes centered on piracy and adventure, the band plays traditional heavy metal and is in the early stages of establishing their presence in the São Paulo interior scene.
