Aura Ignis — Latin for "Halo of Fire" — is a heavy/power metal band from Tunja, Boyacá, Colombia, with core members Edgar Barrera and Milton Salinas active since the band's founding in 1999. The band released their debut full-length "Prisioneros del dolor" in 2016 and their second album "Marcando tu destino" in 2024, with themes centered on freedom, inner conflict, war, and life. They have operated under several earlier names including Ataraxia, Àbbathör, and Steelers before settling on their current identity.

Auro Control is a progressive power metal band from Salvador, Bahia, Brazil whose debut album "The Harp" (2024, Rockshots Records) fuses melodic power metal with progressive depth and Bahian percussion. Produced by Thiago Bianchi (Noturnall, ex-Shaman) and featuring guest appearances from Jeff Scott Soto, Aquiles Priester (W.A.S.P., ex-Angra), and Felipe Andreoli (Angra), the record announced the quintet as one of Brazil's most ambitious new acts in the genre.

Aurora Ortus is a black/doom metal duo from São Paulo, Brazil composed of Victor Alves (guitar, drums, bass, vocals) and Dhiego Joly Botogoske (vocals), whose name translates roughly as "dawn's ascension" — a metaphor for hope emerging from depression. Since forming in 2019, they have built a prolific discography including "Drought," "Sunless Life," "Ostara," and "Against Ourselves," exploring themes of depression, mortality, and nature through slow, suffocating riffs and bleak atmospheres.

Austral is a black metal band from Santiago, Chile, formed in 2018, whose lineup features vocalist Matías Briones (aka Zaitham Iscariote), guitarists Blackterium and Maleficarvm, bassist Terrorwielder, and drummer Invokker. The band released their debut full-length, the sprawlingly titled Pestilential Souls Falling into the Endless Vortex of Misery, in 2018, drawing on themes of mysticism and spiritual corruption.

Austral Nox is an independent symphonic black metal band from Santiago, Chile, whose lyrical themes span horror, death, and nature. In 2018 they released the four-track EP The Forsaking of the Sun, featuring songs including "Angelical Mutilated Skies" and the eight-minute title track.

Australes Tenebris was a black metal band from Erechim, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil active between 2013 and 2017, whose name evokes the southern darkness of their home region. They released a demo — "Quando Uiva o Minuano" (named after the cold pampas wind) — and the full-length "Reflections of a Decadent Life" (Sunset Light Records), exploring themes of philosophy, misanthropy, madness, and decay before dissolving in 2017.

Autism Forest is a one-person black metal and dungeon synth project from Buenos Aires, Argentina, created by the musician known as Avgrund. Autodestrutivo is a depressive black metal solo project from Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil, formed in 2022 by a lone musician credited as Ignorado. The project channels sixteen years of personal connection to the DSBM genre into bleak, self-destructive compositions, releasing "DSBM – Depressive Music for Desolate People" (2024), described as music created for "emotionally destroyed people."
