Apocalipsis is a heavy metal band from Grand Bourg, Buenos Aires, originally formed in 1984 by high-school friends Gustavo Zavala (bass) and "Turco" Atala (guitar), who are widely regarded as direct precursors to Tren Loco. The band released demos including "Endemoniado" (1985) and "Calles de Buenos Aires" (1987), won a notable band contest in March 1986 covered by Argentine magazines Metal and Riff Raff, and eventually reunited — their self-titled album was reissued on vinyl in 2012 by Sade Records in 300 hand-numbered copies.
