Quilombo is a death metal and grindcore duo from São Paulo formed in 2018 by drummer and vocalist Panda Reis and guitarist-bassist Allan Kallid, both previously of the death metal band Oligarquia. Their debut EP Itankale — the word means "evolution" in Yoruba — was released in 2019 on Poluição Sonora Records and addresses the history of African slavery in Brazil across six tracks totalling 20 minutes.
Quintessente is a melodic death and gothic metal band from Rio de Janeiro founded in 1994 under the name Quintessence, with a current lineup of vocalist André Carvalho, guitarist Cristiano Dias, keyboardist and vocalist Cristina Müller, bassist Luiz Fernando de Paula, and drummer Leo Birigui. After releasing two demos in 1996 and 2000 and a roughly 15-year hiatus, the band returned in 2015 and issued their debut full-length Songs from Celestial Spheres in 2017, which was later re-released digitally by Roadie Metal in 2019.
Quinto dos Infernos was a heavy metal band from Salvador, Bahia, active from 2014 until splitting up, with themes centered on blasphemy, alcohol, and hell. Their debut release, the four-track EP Álcool, Metal e Putaria, appeared on April 1, 2014, through their own Bandcamp page as an independent release.
R.I.P. Soldier was a thrash metal band from Recife, Pernambuco, who recorded their sole album The True Soldiers Never Die between October 2009 and January 2010. The ten-track album — drawing influences from Bay Area thrash and Sepultura's Beneath the Remains era — was released in 2014 through GS Productions in a limited edition of 100 digipak CDs.
Rabujos is a grindcore band from Recife, Pernambuco, founded in 1994, making them one of the longest-running acts in the Brazilian grindcore underground. Their catalog includes the 2004 CD Contra Tudo e Contra Todos, the 2015 album Quatro Mil Corpos on Mold Dominion, and the 2017 album Desconforto, alongside numerous splits, including the 2007 five-way split Sinfonia da Desgraça.
Rache is a Brazilian black/death metal project formed in 2017, operating under the Acta Non Verba Rex label. Their 2019 demo Vril's Soldiers was later compiled alongside a 2020 rehearsal recording on the 2021 release Teutonic Soldiers of the Vril.
Radamathys is a black metal band from Ceilândia, in Brazil's Distrito Federal, formed in 2023. Their self-titled debut release, which appeared on Bandcamp in 2023, includes the track "A semente do mal" and draws on vampiric and occult themes.
Radiação Bestial is a speed/thrash/black metal band from Recife, active since at least 2011, with a lineup of vocalist Dominatorem ex inferi, guitarists Hellunatic and Bestial Atrocity, bassist Thiago Xaruto, and drummer Leandro Cavalcante. Their 2022 album Rex Maximvs — released jointly through Resistencia Underground, Satanic Sound Records, and Kingdom of Darkness — contains seven tracks and was issued in CD digipack format.
Radio Everett is a one-person metal project from Belford Roxo, Rio de Janeiro, created and performed entirely by Matheus Everett on guitar and vocals. The project spans grindcore, black metal, and death metal across a prolific Bandcamp discography, including the 2020 album Operação Belford Roxo and the 2024 release Operação Inferno: Belford Roxo, with recurring lyrical focus on Belford Roxo itself.
