Khrophus is a death metal band from São José, Santa Catarina, Brazil, with roots stretching back to 1993. The current lineup features Leonardo Chagas (vocals, bass), Adriano Ribeiro (guitar), and Carlos Fernandes (drums), and the band has built a steady discography including Presages (2009) and Eyes of Madness (2013), the latter a ten-track album showcasing their straightforward, groove-driven approach to old-school death metal.
Kiko Loureiro is a São Paulo-born guitarist best known as a founding member of Angra and as Megadeth's lead guitarist from 2015 to 2023, who has maintained a prolific solo career since his instrumental debut No Gravity (2004). His solo output spans melodic progressive metal and jazz-inflected shred across albums including Universo Inverso, Fullblast, and Sounds of Innocence (2012). Kiko Shred is a heavy and power metal guitarist and bandleader from Americana, São Paulo state, Brazil, whose neoclassical 1980s-influenced style has drawn comparisons to the golden era of guitar-driven metal. Active since the mid-2010s, the project has released four studio albums including Riding the Storm (2018), Royal Art (2019), and Rebellion (2021), the last of which was picked up for worldwide distribution by Germany's Pure Steel Records. Kiko Shred has shared stages and sessions with singers including Tim "Ripper" Owens, Michael Vescera, and Leather Leone.
Kill Hill is a power/thrash metal band from the Quilmes area of Buenos Aires, Argentina, who released their self-titled debut album in 2018, recorded and mixed by Ivan Iñiguez at Absolute Studios in Berazategui. Their second full-length, Tetrinencia, followed in December 2022 — recorded at De La Wave Studios between 2021 and 2022 — and was dedicated to the memory of guitarist David Gómez.
Killepsia is a progressive and heavy metal band from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, formed in 2015 by guitarists Vicente Queiroz Silva Telles and Giuseppe Oppelt Delazeri, bassist and vocalist Ian Garbinato de Fagundes, and drummer Rafael Severo Meira. The band released their self-titled debut EP in June 2017, a four-track record that addresses themes of uncertainty, societal expectation, and the passage of time, marking them as a notable presence in Porto Alegre's heavy metal scene.
Killery is a groove/thrash metal quintet from São Luís, Maranhão, Brazil, formed in 2019. Killin'Ground is a thrash/groove metal band from Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil, formed in 2019. Killing Fields is a thrash metal band from Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, with roots going back to 2002. Citing Bay Area old-school thrash as their primary influence, the band re-emerged in 2020 and released the four-track EP When Nuclear Nightmare Turns Real (March 2021), recorded at Invisible Horizons Studio with members Cid Oliveira on vocals, Roberto Phrankson on rhythm guitars and bass, Otávio Magão on lead guitar, and T-Rash on drums. The EP's lyrical themes center on nuclear apocalypse, social collapse, and existential dread.
Killing Mass was a death/thrash metal band from Santiago, Chile, whose sole known release is the 2017 EP Bloody Lands — a five-track recording encompassing both old-school thrash and death metal styles. The band has since split up, leaving Bloody Lands as their only documented output.
