Devilsnite came together in Buenos Aires in mid-2012 when the pseudonymous Mr. Halloween, Mr. Death, and Mr. Boogie set out to fuse heavy metal with the aesthetic of horror cinema, a style they call "horror metal." The band released their debut EP Coming Home to Hell independently in 2014, followed by their first full-length Horror World in 2018 — a 13-track album that included a cover of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" — and opened for The Misfits in Buenos Aires in May 2016. Their second album Fighting Evil appeared in 2023, and a third studio album, Escape From Hell, arrived in 2026.

Their debut release, the five-track EP Toxic NEA!, came out on July 16, 2015, with lyrics touching on politics, toxic environments, and anti-poser themes. The band's founding lineup included Facundo Balmaceda on vocals, Brian Galvan on lead guitar, Gabriel J Hansen on rhythm guitar, Adrian Deserti on bass, and Dany Molina on drums.

Dfront SA is a death/groove metal band from Volta Redonda, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, formed in 2013, blending groove and death metal with hardcore and thrash influences and lyrics rooted in everyday life. The band has released at least two albums, including "Ceifado" (2021) and a follow-up titled "Forte Teor Da Dor."

Dhūmāvatī is a psychedelic stoner doom metal trio from Vitória, Espírito Santo, Brazil, formed in 2018, drawing on influences such as Sleep, Electric Wizard, Om, and Black Sabbath. Their self-titled debut album was recorded live at Casa Verde in Vitória and released in 2018 through the Subtrópico label.

Diablerie Progenie was a raw black metal band from São Leopoldo, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, active from 2014 until their split-up, with lyrical themes of hate, misanthropy, and anti-Christianity influenced by Darkthrone, Burzum, and Sarcófago. The band released a self-titled album featuring 13 tracks, available on their Bandcamp page, which included original material and cover songs.

Diablero is a black metal and ambient project from the far southern coastal region of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, operating out of Praia do Hermenegildo and Santa Vitória do Palmar near the Uruguayan border. The project released the demo "Escuridão Selvagem" in 2014 and has remained active as an independent underground act.
