Melodic death metal band from João Pessoa, Paraíba, formed in 2006, with a lineup of Victor Hugo Targino (bass, vocals), Eduardo Borsero and Danilo Rufino (guitars), and Demetrius Pedrosa (drums). Their sole release, the self-titled debut album Thyresis, came out on September 15, 2011 — produced by Targino and mastered by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden — before the band eventually split up.

Tiburón Peregrino is an instrumental extreme metal project from San Miguel, Buenos Aires, founded in 2017 by multi-instrumentalist Rodrigo "Calo" Calónico. The project is named after the basking shark and channels its oceanic theme across a prolific catalog, including "La fosa de las Marianas" (October 2017), "MEG" (July 2018), and "Forever gran tiburón" (March 2019). Calónico handles guitars and drum programming, having released over fifteen studio albums as of the band's documented output.
