No Epitaph is a progressive and technical death metal band from Quito, Ecuador, active since 2014. The project blends the intricate compositional structures of technical death metal with melodic and progressive elements, as heard on their 2014 self-titled release and the 2017 single "Dark Tranquility." Operating independently, the band channels influences from across the technical and progressive death metal spectrum.
No Guerra is an Argentine thrash metal and metalcore band whose album titles — Ahonikenk (2010), Choiols (2012), Weychan (2014), and Traumatica (2024) — draw on the indigenous languages and cultures of Patagonia, including Mapuche and Tehuelche words. After a decade-long gap, the band returned in 2024 with Traumatica, their fourth studio album.
The project of guitarist and vocalist Tiago Torres, a veteran of the Brazilian scene through his work with Mad Dragzter, No More Death channels the fury of Metallica, Slayer, and early Sepultura into a decidedly spiritual framework, with lyrics drawn from the Book of Revelation. Their debut album "The Death is Dead," released in 2025 on Roxx Records and co-produced with Demis Kohler, delivers eight relentless tracks that treat thrash as a vehicle for Christian apocalyptic storytelling.
No One Spoke wove together distorted guitars, live violin, and the lyrical voice of Serbian-Brazilian vocalist Jelena Dobric into a style that deliberately avoided the operatic clichés common to female-fronted symphonic metal, drawing instead on classical and Latin influences. Their sole full-length "Nine Mirrors" (2021) spans nine tracks across forty-seven minutes and includes a guest appearance by bassist Rudy Sarzo on a cover of Ronnie James Dio's "Rainbow in the Dark."
No Redención is a metalcore band from Medellín, Colombia, whose sound draws heavily on hardcore influences to deliver a heavy, direct style aimed at connecting with their listeners. The band completed its lineup in 2018 and released their debut EP, Imperios, as an independent act. Their lyrics address the experiences of everyday life with an emphasis on generating identification with their audience.
São Paulo heavy metal outfit No Remorse plays straightforward, riff-driven metal with roots in the classic tradition, documenting their output across releases including "The Machine Sessions" (2013) and the archival collection "From The Vaults Vol. 1 (2014–2018)." Their sound sits comfortably in the lineage of NWOBHM-influenced Brazilian heavy metal, favoring direct songwriting over complexity.
One of the pioneering female-fronted grindcore acts in Brazil, No Sense from Santos made an early mark with the "Out of Reality" EP and the full-length "Cerebral Cacophony" (1992, Cogumelo Records), led by vocalist Marly with blistering bursts that drew comparisons to Napalm Death's early violence. After disbanding in the 1990s, the band reunited and released the comeback album "Obey" (2011), bringing the original lineup back to a style rooted in madness, social alienation, and pure grindcore aggression.
Noala carves out an extreme corner of the sludge and post-metal world by fusing the wall-of-sound density of Neurosis with industrial texture reminiscent of Nine Inch Nails at full volume, resulting in a sound that is both corrosive and hypnotic. Their 2013 debut "Humo" runs across seven tracks and an hour of material, with compositions stretching past fifteen minutes and building through alternating layers of crushing riffs, harsh vocals, and quieter atmospheric passages.
Noctem Aeternus is a solo atmospheric black metal project founded in 2015 in Córdoba, Argentina, built around a single multi-instrumentalist who composes and records all material independently. The project released its debut full-length, Winter Spells, in December 2017, followed by Landscape of Discord in 2019 via German label Naturmacht Productions, and the EP My Spectre Around Me Night and Day in 2021, the latter drawing its lyrics from William Blake poetry.
