Midgard are pioneers of the Brazilian doom scene, drawing on the epic and sorrowful tradition of Candlemass and Solitude Aeturnus since the late 1990s. Their debut album From Ashes... (2005) established their template of slow, heavy riffs and soaring clean vocals, and their long-awaited sophomore full-length Verdugos arrived in 2024 via Som do Darma to widespread acclaim across the doom metal press.

The debut EP "Before Coffins, Hells and Nightmares" (2021), released through Cianeto Discos, was recorded at Terror Holocausto's own home studio in Bahia and captures a raw, cavernous sound rooted firmly in the early death/black tradition.

A brutal death metal act from the Greater São Paulo industrial belt, Midnightmare built their sound around pulverizing heaviness and unrelenting speed across releases including "Behind of the Agony Mask" (2004) and "Death Is the Only Salvation" (2014). Mil Tormentas (Spanish for "A Thousand Storms") is a stoner rock and sludge metal band from Buenos Aires that formed in late 2013. They released their self-titled debut EP on November 1, 2014, recorded at La Nave de Oseberg, and put out their music through South American Sludge Records, the label founded by Sergio Chotsourian of Los Natas.

Originally founded in Curitiba in the early 2000s, Minatory plays a direct strain of death/thrash with clear debts to Slayer, Death, and Obituary. Their 2002 demo "Spiritual Damnation" drew positive notices from Brazilian metal press including Rockbrigade and Whiplash, establishing the band as a fixture of the southern underground scene.

Their debut full-length "Signs Revealed" (2015), recorded at HR Studio in Rio de Janeiro and mixed by Daniel Escobar, weaves a three-character conceptual narrative through alternating time signatures and dynamic vocal performances.

One of Brazil's most internationally active progressive metal acts, Mindflow built their reputation on the powerful tenor voice of Benilo Herbert and a polished, hook-driven sound across albums including "Mind Over Body" (2006) and "Destructive Device" (2008), the latter produced by Ben Grosse in Los Angeles. The band toured Europe, Asia, and North America and released their fourth record "365" in 2011 before continuing as an active outfit.

The project has released a series of albums including Psychosis, and the Silence that Prevails (2012), the EP Versos Nostálgicos de un Individuo Cualquiera (2013), From Where the Highest Mountain Came (2013), and A la tierna indiferencia del mundo (2015), all made available as free digital downloads under Creative Commons licensing.
