Genius of Sugarcane is a stoner/doom metal band from Nova Venécia, Espírito Santo, Brazil, built around the core of vocalist and guitarist Estevão Neri Massucatti, guitarist Luis Alfredo Santos, bassist Bruno Rodrigues, and drummer Rodrigo Gaspar Rodrigues. The band released their debut EP "Preludes from New Times" in November 2019, a three-track effort recorded at Audio Space Studio that draws on H.P. Lovecraft, spirituality, and nuclear themes across its doom-laden, psychedelic sound.
