Drakher is a heavy metal band from Puerto Montt in Chile's Los Lagos region, formed in 2002 out of an earlier Judas Priest tribute project called Force Down. The band released their debut full-length "Primal Machine" in 2005 and followed it with "Rejector" in 2010 on Australis Records, recorded at Studio Sade in Santiago; drummer Walter Tölg is also known for his work with Chilean black metal band Hetroertzen.

Draped Urn is a black/death metal band from Brazil, formed in 2016. The band released their debut EP Degenerate in May 2016 and followed it with the split Punishment alongside Cvlpa later that same year, drawing on raw and extreme metal influences.

Drast is a solo black metal and dungeon synth project from Brazil, formed in 2021. The project is helmed by a single musician credited as Iniá, who handles all instruments, and debuted with the album DOR in July 2021, a four-part work blending raw black metal with atmospheric and ambient elements.

Drastyca is a melodic death metal band from Cruz das Almas, Bahia, Brazil. The band released their debut EP Emblems in 2018, which was made widely available on digital platforms in 2020, and contributed the track Lake of Blood to the Roadie Metal Vol. 14 compilation.

Dreadful Deathreign is a death metal band from João Monlevade, Minas Gerais, Brazil, formed around 2019–2021 by Anderlon A. (bass and vocals) alongside guitarists Fabrício S. and Valber N., with drummer Amazarack completing the lineup in 2020. Rooted firmly in 1990s old-school death metal, the band released their debut EP "The Bloody Terror" in July 2022, recorded at Paralelo Studio in João Monlevade.

Dreadnox is a melodic heavy metal band from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, built around vocalist Fabio Schneider and guitarist Kiko Dittert. After a long hiatus the band returned with the album "Dance of Ignorance" (2010), produced by Renato Tribuzy, followed by "The Hero Inside" (2014), which was mixed by Roy Z and mastered by Maor Appelbaum.

Dreams of December is a post-black metal project from Minas Gerais, Brazil, formed in 2021. The band released their debut album "Ashes of a Decadent Life" that same year, a seven-track record in the blackgaze and post-black metal tradition, with tracks drawing on philosophical and literary themes including the poetry of William Blake.

Drearylands was a power metal band from Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, active from around 1999–2000. The band released two albums — "Some Dreary Songs" (2000) and "Heliopolis" (2003), the latter recorded at Vértice Estúdio in Salvador on Maniac Records — before splitting up, with a later return yielding the album "No Poetry Lasts" (2017).

Drogula is a Buenos Aires stoner/doom duo founded in March 2022 by Nicolas Casabona (guitar/vocals) and Marcelo Soria (drums), who describe their sound as "sludge stoner space doom with occultist touches of necropsycodelia." The band released their debut full-length "Volume 1" on March 1, 2023, followed by "Volume 2" in January 2025, with both records receiving vinyl editions through Austin-based Herby Records.
