Assur was an Epic Black Metal band from Manizales, Caldas, Colombia, formed in 2000. The band released the split Dark Reborn of Frozen Souls in 2003 through Mighty Hordes Productions before eventually disbanding, with their work rooted in themes of paganism and evil.

Not to be confused with the legendary 1980s Porto Alegre act of the same name, this Astaroth was a short-lived traditional heavy metal band from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, active briefly around 2020 before splitting up. The city has a storied heavy metal heritage — the original Astaroth released the first heavy metal LP from Rio Grande do Sul in 1986 — and this later outfit carried that name into the modern underground scene.

Astaroth Cult is a one-man melodic and atmospheric black metal project from Minas Gerais, Brazil, the work of solo musician Patryck Leal who handles all instruments, vocals, and lyrics. Asterean is a melodic black/death metal band from São Paulo, Brazil, that traces its roots to 2011 through a predecessor project called Espera XIII before formalizing under the current name around 2020.
