Heavy metal band from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, formed in 2015 under the name Stormqueen before renaming to Sagittarion in 2017. The band released the five-track EP Reborn in June 2018 as an independent digital release, running twenty-two minutes across tracks including "Scarlet Rose," "Rock 'n' Roll Armageddon," and "Gypsy and the Beast."
Thrash/heavy metal band from Chapecó, Santa Catarina, Brazil, formed in July 2014 by members from several local acts including Spharion and Eternal Cry; the name is the bassist Protásio Vargas's surname spelled backwards. The band released the EPs The Lynching (2015), themed around the 1950 burning of Chapecó's central church and mob killing, and Masked People (2017), before recording their debut full-length Kingdom of Chaos in January 2019 with vocalist Luciano Bravo, guitarist Guilherme Luan, and drummer Roberto Rodrigues.
Christian death/thrash metal band from Belford Roxo, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, founded in 1994 and operating as a power trio since their 2001 reformation with Rodrigo Bizoro (vocals/drums), Clamer Lucio (guitar), and Michel Mixa (bass). The band has released five albums: Against Saints and Sinners (2003), The Ways of Faith (2005), Reprise (2007), Vanitas Vanitatum (2011), and Mea Culpa (2015), the latter a concept album addressing atrocities committed at the Colônia psychiatric hospital in Brazil. They are signed to Força Eterna.
Grindcore band from Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil, formed in 2019 by vocalist Vinicius Braga, guitarist Alice Vitoriano, bassist Marcos Correa, and drummer Linnu Rodrigues. The band released Somos Nós a Doença in 2021 and followed it with Ensaio Sobre a Má Vontade in June 2024, a 22-track album recorded at Quarto do Pânico studio in Manaus addressing capitalism, police violence, and life in the Amazon's largest city. The band split up after completing Ensaio Sobre a Má Vontade.
Doom/sludge metal project from Brasília, Brazil, formed in 2025. The project released its debut EP Os Vivos Serão Devorados in August 2025 through Bandcamp, a two-track recording built around slow, heavy atmospheres and lyrics dealing with existential anguish, occult rituals, and mortality.
Samot is a blackened death metal band from Maipú, Chile, formed in 2014, signed to US label Unspeakable Axe Records. Drawing on themes of darkness, vampirism, and the beyond, they released their debut demo "The Beginning" in 2015 and followed it with the EP "Across the Abyss" in 2016.
Samson was a heavy metal band from Buenos Aires, Argentina, whose lineup included vocalist/guitarist Adrián Subotosky, drummer Horacio "Cacho" Darias, and bassist Hugo Racca. The band released the album Rutas Peligrosas in 1991 and also appeared on the compilation Metálicos — Heavy Metal 90, before eventually splitting up.
Thrash metal band from Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil, formed in 2012, featuring André Nisgoski (Macumbazilla), Karim Serri and Markos Franzmann (both also of Legacy of Kain), and Fabiano Menon (Dave Evans, Boca Raton). The band released the album Lip Reading the Dead through their Bandcamp page, recorded and released independently in Curitiba.
Thrash metal band from Rio Grande, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, formed in 2016. The band — featuring Pablão on vocals, Bruno Vieira on guitars and bass, and Guilherme Kubaski on drums — released the seven-track EP Carnificina dos Deformados in November 2016, available independently through Bandcamp.
