Litosth is a melodic black/death metal band from Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, formed in 2016, featuring members who have also played in prominent Latin American black metal acts including Patria, Mysteriis, Swords at Hymns, and Dark Celebration. The band released their second full-length album "Farther From the Sun" in 2022, recorded at Dead Marshall Records, blending the melancholy of black metal with atmospheric death metal. Their third full-length "Cesariana" followed in February 2024 through Personal Records.
Liträo is a sludge/doom metal band from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, formed in 2018 by four musicians drawing on shared history in other local projects. The lineup features Guilherme Kirk on guitar and vocals, Guilherme Stephano on lead guitar, Gabriel Fontes on bass, and Marcos Soli on drums, with the band citing Sleep, Crowbar, and Electric Wizard as primary influences. Lizard Cult is a sludge/doom metal band from São Paulo, Brazil, formed in 2023. The band self-produced their debut release "Triptych", a three-track album issued in October 2023, recorded by Otávio Bonazzi at Dissenso Studio and mixed and mastered by Henrique Fonseca at Groove Estúdio. The release was noted in the Doom Charts for March 2023 and positions the band firmly within Brazil's growing heavy underground scene.
Llankazo is a black/death metal band from Santiago, Chile who released their first demo rehearsal in October 2018 before putting out their self-titled debut full-length in May 2021. Their sound blends black, death, and thrash metal influences within the underground extreme metal tradition of the Chilean capital.
Lo Oscuro is a stoner metal band from Buenos Aires, Argentina whose debut album Terror was released on September 1, 2022 through Kvlt und Kaos Productions. The eight-track record features entirely Spanish-language songs exploring heavy, aggressive themes drawn from personal experience.
Lobotomia is a pioneering crossover thrash and hardcore band from São Paulo, founded in 1984, who helped define the early Brazilian punk-metal underground. Their 1987 self-titled LP introduced a raw, metallic sound unlike anything else in Brazilian punk at the time, and "Só os Mortos Não Reclamam" became a regular fixture on São Paulo's Radio Rock 89 FM. The band reunited in the mid-2000s and continued releasing material, including the albums "Extinção" (2008) and "Desastre" (2016).
Lobregal was a black metal band from Posadas, Misiones, Argentina, originally formed in 2003 by vocalist and keyboardist Walter Núñez. The band released their sole full-length album Para vivir hay que matar in November 2015 on the Ukrainian label Depressive Illusions Records, a nine-track record with doom and gothic influences, supplemented by a live bonus track.
Logos was a Buenos Aires heavy metal band founded in 1990 by Alberto Zamarbide, Miguel Roldán, and Adrián Cenci — veterans of the pioneering Argentine act V8 — who released five studio albums including the debut La industria del poder (1993) and Generación mutante (1995), the latter produced by Rudy Sarzo of Ozzy Osbourne and Quiet Riot. The band reunited in 2004 after a six-year hiatus, releasing Plan mundial para la destrucción (2006) and A través de los tiempos (2009) before disbanding in 2013.
