Death Slam is a veteran grindcore and death metal band from Taguatinga, near Brasília, Brazil, active since the early 1990s and one of the longest-running extreme acts from the country's capital region. The band has released albums including "Smash the Power" (1998) and "Brazilian Disaster" (2004) and engages with political themes throughout their discography, with members including vocalist Fellipe CDC, guitarist Adélcio, bassist/vocalist Itazil, and drummer Ademir.
Death Yell formed in Santiago in the late 1980s and recorded their 1989 demo 'Vengeance from Darkness' at Procor Studios, a release that achieved cult status in the global underground and led to split releases with Finland's Beherit and the Morbid Rites 7" on Seraphic Decay Records in 1992. After disbanding in 1991, the band reactivated and returned with the full-length 'Descent into Hell' in 2017, followed by the 'Asmodeus' Disciples' demo and the LP 'Demons of Lust' in 2025. Their sound draws on the raw, violent tradition of South American death and black metal, with clear debts to Brazilian extreme acts of the same era.
DeathBanger is a speed/thrash metal band from Ananindeua, Pará, in the Brazilian Amazon region, formed in 2017. Delivering raw, aggressive thrash with palm-muted riffing and furious vocals, the band released their debut demo "Reborn From The Ashes" in 2018 and a follow-up demo in 2020 featuring tracks such as "Realm Of Death" and "Satan Massacres." They were also featured on the northern Brazilian metal compilation "Coletânea Fúria Nortista Vol. 1," highlighting their role in the underground metal scene of the Amazonian North.
Deathcrush is a black metal trio from Itaítuba, a remote city in the state of Pará in northern Brazil, playing in a raw and obscure style typical of the South American underground. The band debuted with the demo "Batalhas e Rituais" in 2006, and in 2013 released "Profana Luta (Consagração a Satanás)," which combined three tracks from that demo with five new compositions. They have been part of the northern Brazilian extreme metal scene, having performed at the Norte em Caos festival in Belém alongside other Pará black metal acts.
Deathgeist is a thrash metal band from São Paulo, Brazil, formed in 2017 by members including guitarist/vocalist Adriano Perfetto and guitarist Victor Regep, with ties to the established Brazilian thrash act Bywar. The band has released four albums, starting with their self-titled debut in 2017, followed by "666" (2019), "Procession of Souls" (2022), and "Underworld" (2025), all on Punishment 18 Records. Recognized as one of the most consistent contemporary Brazilian thrash metal acts, they draw heavily from the German school of thrash, and in 2026 embarked on their first European tour.
Deathgod Luciferi is a one-man raw black metal project from São Paulo, Brazil, launched in 2022 by the musician known as Morbid Annihilator. The project released several demo recordings throughout 2022, including "Raw Black Metal Destruction" and "Espiral de ódio, desprezo e repulsa," operating within an uncompromisingly primitive and satanic black metal aesthetic. It is associated with Shadow Resistance Productions, a São Paulo-based underground label specializing in raw black metal and related extreme genres.
Deathlike Stab is a Brazilian thrash/crossover trio from Brasília, formed in 2021, whose music blends fast riffs and punk energy with sinister 80s-influenced underground character. The band debuted with the EP Sharp Knife in May 2021 and followed it with the full-length Knife Murders in June 2022, released through Selvajaria Records and Broken Recs.
Deathmosphere is a progressive death metal band from Ibagué, Colombia, formed in 2017 and influenced by technically demanding and melodic death metal. The band released their debut demo "Inherente al cosmos" in 2019, followed by a full-length version in 2021 and the single "Introspection" the same year.
Deathraiser is a thrash metal band from Leopoldina, Minas Gerais, Brazil, originally active under the name Mercilless before reforming under their current name and releasing their debut album Violent Aggression in 2011 through Xtreem Music. After a lengthy hiatus, the band returned with their second full-length Forged in Hatred in early 2026, drawing on the late-1980s thrash tradition of Kreator, Sodom, and Sepultura.
