Raging War is a thrash metal band from Brusque and Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, formed in 2016 as the successor to Monster Truck, a group the members had run since 2005. Their self-titled debut album, recorded at Tobias Blues Studios in Brusque across 2016 and 2017, was released on June 6, 2018, and spans ten tracks including "Third World," "Enforced System," and "Bastard Dogs."

Raijin is a heavy metal and hard rock band from Viña del Mar, Chile, formed in 2015 as a one-man project by guitarist and vocalist F. Steele before expanding into a four-piece lineup. The band released their debut EP "Wildpath" in 2015 on Electric Eyes Records and have continued releasing singles and EPs drawing on heavy metal and speed metal traditions.

Raiken is a melodic death and thrash metal band from Brasília active since at least 2019, with a lineup of Ricardo Leite on bass and vocals, Cristiano Marques and Leonardo Pacheco on guitars, and Daniel Neves on drums. Their five-track EP Shattered Shield, released on March 20, 2026, moves across melodic death metal, thrash, and epic heavy metal and was independently produced by the band.

Raising Conviction is a progressive metalcore and deathcore band from Belo Horizonte, formed in 2016. Their full-length album A New Beginning was released on October 5, 2021, and draws production comparisons to international metalcore acts, with the title track running six minutes and the single "Post Scriptum" among its standout cuts.

Ramirik is an atmospheric/melodic black metal project from Cali, Valle del Cauca, Colombia, active since 2018. They released a prolific run of material in their first two years, including the debut EP Instability, a split with French project Helenes, and the full-length Olvidados, all in 2019, followed by the Praefinitum EP in 2020.

Ramset is a melodic power metal band from Santa Fe, Argentina, formed in 1998, whose lineup includes vocalist and guitarist Rubén Pastor, bassist Adolfo Barrera, drummer Pablo Wagner, and guitarist Gonzalo Fanelli. The band released their debut full-length album De Luz y Tinieblas in 2010, more than a decade after forming. They also contributed a track to the 2009 Kodigo Rojo Records compilation Puro metal, 2dos.

Rancid Flesh is a goregrind band from Fortaleza, Ceará, formed in 2009. Their debut release Festering Gore... Repulsive Stench (2009) was pressed in a limited edition of 100 copies on Bidule Mandibule Records, and their 2012 follow-up Pathological Zombie Carnage — a 25-track album jointly released through Carnificina Records, Cianeto Discos, Terceiro Mundo Chaos Discos, and Rapture Records — was limited to 1,000 CDs.

Rankatoko is a thrash metal and hardcore band from São Paulo formed in 2019, with a lineup of Marcelo Viera on vocals, Eduardo Xaxa on guitar, Alex Souza on bass, and Eduardo Jamaica on drums. Their debut release, the three-track EP Chacina e Posse, was recorded live at Greenhouse Studio in São Paulo and released on January 20, 2019.

Ranterío is a groove metal band from Buenos Aires who released their debut album Agonía independently in 2016, followed by a second album, Hoguera de Miserias, around 2020. The band has been a fixture of the Buenos Aires underground metal circuit, including an appearance at Heresy Fest at The Other Place venue in the city.
