Mask of Semblant is a deliberately anonymous progressive/melodic death metal outfit whose members have kept their identities hidden since the band's formation. Their debut EP Existence (2017) mapped the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse across six tracks, while the follow-up Dead Tales (2018) shifted the lyrical lens toward earthly decadence and civilizational rot, both recorded at Socoloski Recordings in Florianópolis.
Masochrist was a black metal band from the Florianópolis/São José area that emerged in 2011 and released a run of compact, raw recordings before splitting up. Their debut EP Enter The Masochrist (2011) was followed quickly by Karmageddon (2012), both leaning into a corrosive, lo-fi black metal attack rooted in Satanic and misanthropic themes.
Mass Mayhem blends metalcore aggression with power metal melodicism and epic tonal ambitions, tracing their roots to the duo project Primacy launched by cousins Lucas Sodré and Marcos Paulo in Parauapebas. The band signed with MS Metal Records and released material under the Mass Mayhem name, building a following in the far northern Pará state scene.
Mass of Souls combine black metal bleakness with gothic doom atmosphere, drawing clear influence from Candlemass — their self-titled demo even included a cover of the Swedish legends' "Solitude." The project surfaced in 2019 with the single Tales of a Rebel Soul, establishing a sound that sits at the darker, more sepulchral end of the doom spectrum.
Massacration began as a sketch on Brazilian MTV comedy show Hermes & Renato — a parody of heavy metal excess and broken-English posturing — but quickly became a genuine phenomenon in its own right. Their debut album Gates of Metal Fried Chicken of Death (2005), produced by Ratos de Porão frontman João Gordo under the pseudonym "Rick Rubinho" and featuring Sérgio Mallandro, sold over 40,000 copies; a third album, Metal Is My Life, arrived in 2024 after a 15-year gap.
Massacre em Alphaville are a crust and sludge metal band from São Paulo who have been grinding out politically and environmentally charged material since the early 2000s. Their 2009 mini-CD Vacilou na Quebrada, Dorme na Vala and the 2015 full-length Estilhaços de Ilusão showcase a raw, communal approach built around multiple vocalists and a thick, feedback-drenched sound rooted in the city's underground hardcore scene.
Massacred is an Argentine brutal death metal and grindcore project driven by guitarist/vocalist Christian Edwards and bassist Robert Myiasis, drawing heavy inspiration from Mortician and incorporating horror film samples and Resident Evil video game themes throughout their music. The band has been prolific across multiple releases, including the 2022 album "Human Extermination" and the 20-track "Mortal Annihilation", released in March 2025 to positive notice from No Clean Singing. Their songs typically clock in at one to two minutes, delivering non-stop blast beats and heavy riffing in the old-school brutal death metal tradition.
Massakre is a pioneering thrash and death metal band from Santiago, Chile, founded in 1985 by Yanko Tólic, who built the project out of earlier garage bands Sepulcro and Embrión. Influenced by Celtic Frost, Slayer, and Hellhammer, they were among the first speed and thrash metal acts in Chile and Latin America, releasing their debut album Massacre in 1989 and continuing through Psychotic Redemption (2001) and Crematorium (2005). The band is also noted for their early adoption of corpse paint in a thrash metal context, a practice later imitated widely across the scene.
Master Goat play brutal, no-frills death metal out of Campo Grande, trafficking in openly blasphemous imagery as reflected in track titles like Golgota, Cruci-Fiction, and Tormento Infernal. Their approach leans on churning riffs and guttural vocals, drawing from old-school death metal traditions while keeping their sound stripped to the bone.
