Harppia is a heavy metal institution from São Paulo, Brazil, tracing their roots to 1982 when vocalist Jack Santiago and guitarist Hélcio Aguirra formed the precursor band Via-Láctea, officially adopting the Harppia name in 1983 in tribute to the harpy eagle. Their 1985 debut EP A Ferro e Fogo, released on Baratos Afins, is widely considered one of the first heavy metal EPs of its style recorded in Brazil, with the track Salém (A Cidade das Bruxas) becoming a Brazilian metal anthem. In 2008, the band performed before more than 50,000 people at São Paulo's Virada Cultural in celebration of their 25th anniversary.
HateFall is a heavy metal band from Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil, formed in 2011. The band released their debut EP Light & Fire in February 2018, a seven-track release that established their traditional heavy metal sound and was followed by work toward a planned debut full-length.
Hazy Hamlet is a traditional heavy metal band from Maringá, Paraná, formed in 1999, drawing heavily from classic 1970s and 1980s acts such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Grave Digger. Heavy Smasher is a traditional heavy metal band from Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil, formed in 2018. The quartet — featuring Nildo Gomes on vocals, Nando Smasher and Diego Quântico on guitars, and Luís Paulo on bass — debuted with the EP Smasher And Loud in 2018 before releasing their self-titled full-length album in 2021, recorded at VTM Studio in Fortaleza. Hefesto is a Buenos Aires heavy metal band that built their debut around the concept of the seven deadly sins, releasing a series of singles — Ira and Avaricia in 2022, Soberbia and Envidia in 2023 — culminating in the full-length debut Pecados Capitales in 2026. Vocalist Jaime described the project as reinterpreting Dante's framework through a contemporary lens, treating the sins not as moral condemnations but as expressions inherent to human nature. The band is active on Spotify with around 95 monthly listeners and 179 followers.
Helker is a heavy/power metal band from Buenos Aires founded by guitarist Mariano Ríos and featuring vocalist Diego Valdez, widely regarded as one of Argentina's premier metal exports. The band released three Spanish-language albums — "Legado Secreto" (2001), "Resistir" (2008), and "A.D.N." (2010) — before signing with Germany's AFM Records for their English-language debut "Somewhere in the Circle" (2013) and "Firesoul" (2017), touring alongside Primal Fear, HammerFall, and Gamma Ray.
