Gallo Azhuu is a hard rock and heavy metal band from São Luís, Maranhão, whose name translates loosely as "blue rooster" in a Portuguese psychedelic spelling, drawing on the blues-heavy tradition of Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, and ZZ Top. The band released a self-titled debut in 2013, followed by "Totem" in 2015, and their third album "Treva" in 2019, recorded at KM4 Studio — a release noted for its stoner metal weight. All three records are sung entirely in Portuguese.

The band — comprising vocalist and guitarist Fernando Guedes, bassist Ricardo B. Lima, guitarist Bruno Máximo, and drummer Fernando Silva — made their live debut on December 19, 2021, which was captured as the nine-track soundboard recording released as the live EP 'The Plague Remnants' (2022).
