Callix Aureus is a one-person depressive black and doom metal project from Brasília, Brazil, created by musician Maycon Moura. The project blends atmospheric black metal with depressive suicidal black metal (DSBM) and doom, creating mournful, snow-buried soundscapes with lacerated vocals. Releases include “Pale Suicide (DSBM)” (2025), “Mechanical Respiration,” “Glass Tears,” “Chronica Funesta,” and “Kyrie Dolor.”

Calvário is a heavy/doom metal band from Carapicuíba, São Paulo, Brazil, originally formed in 1990 under the name Calvary. The band holds the distinction of being the first Brazilian Christian metal act to release a full-length album, and has been active across several periods since their founding, currently signed to Blood & Iron Records. They were featured in the Brazilian metal fanzine U’loco as early as 1991, cementing their place as pioneers of Christian heavy metal in Brazil.
