Crypta is a death metal band formed in São Paulo, Brazil in 2019 by former Nervosa members vocalist and bassist Fernanda Lira and drummer Luana Dametto, completing their lineup with guitarists Tainá Bergamaschi and Sonia Anubis. The band released their debut album Echoes of the Soul on June 11, 2021 via Napalm Records to widespread acclaim, establishing themselves as one of the most prominent acts in contemporary Brazilian death metal. Their 2023 follow-up Shades of Sorrow further cemented their international profile.
