A two-person project built around Pedro Caldas handling all instrumentation and Joaquim Ghirotti on vocals, O Anjo Exterminador channeled industrial noise, grindcore, death metal, and experimental electronics into a single claustrophobic whole. Their sole full-length, Tetragrammaton (2005), runs 71 minutes and pairs occult lyrical conceits with artwork by sci-fi and horror illustrator Edgar Franco, closing with a cover of Swedish hardcore legends Anti-Cimex.

Obscurity Tears trace their roots back to 1994, when the band began under the name Smashed Face drawing deep from Paradise Lost, Cathedral, and My Dying Bride before refining the sound and adopting their current name. By 1999 they had expanded with the addition of vocalist Nitelma Lima and violinist Jefferson Barreto, whose contributions gave the band the dense, mournful atmosphere that defined their 2000 debut "Songs for a Black Winter"; Jefferson Barreto remains central to the project, resurfacing decades later on the 2023 record "Doom4Ever".

Natal, BR · 2018–present · active
A one-man old school death metal project helmed by Cláudio Slayer, Open the Coffin worships the HM-2 chainsaw tone and traffics in horror imagery centered on zombies, cemetery rituals, and slasher lore.
