Necromancy from Vila Velha play a savage blend of black and death metal that leans heavily on speed and menace, releasing a steady stream of material since their 2019 debut Feathers Fall to Flames. Savage Genocide (2020) and the self-titled full-length (2022) further defined their approach — raw, uncompromising underground metal with no concessions to accessibility.
Founded in Santo André by Daniel Curtolo and Victor Prospero, Necromesis spent nearly a decade working through an increasingly ambitious run of releases — from the 2009 demo The Dark Works of Art through the EPs Evolving to an Underworld (2011) and Echoes of a Memory (2014) to the full-length The Poet's Paradox (2015) — blending visceral death metal with progressive and thrash underpinnings. The band is also notable as the launchpad for vocalist Mayara Puertas, known as May Undead, who recorded Echoes of a Memory and The Poet's Paradox before departing in 2015 to become the frontwoman of Torture Squad.
A long-running death metal band from the Rio Grande do Sul underground, active since the early 1990s and known for a relentless, gore-infused approach rooted in the old-school tradition. Their catalog spans releases such as "We Work for the Devil," a live document titled "Live Desecrations," and the 2022 full-length "Death to Traitors."
A self-described "old school death metal fleshcult" from Pernambuco whose approach owes a clear debt to the goregrind end of early 1990s extremity — their Repulsion cover signals as much. They debuted with the 2024 demo "Anatomy of the Grotesque" and followed it with the "Frenzied Necrotiscism" EP.
A death metal trio featuring Necromayhem Ferethrum on vocals and guitar alongside André Burns and Bernardo Exhumator, whose 2023 debut EP 'Endless Nightmare' announced a firm commitment to old-school death metal ugliness. The six-track record was recorded and produced by Burns at Cave Studio and leans into the putrid, cavernous sound of the genre's earliest era.
Necrovomit 666 is the one-man project of Victor Skullcrusher, beginning in raw black metal territory with the 2023 debut Death to Mankind before rapidly expanding into black/death and grindcore on a string of releases including Witchcraft and Blood, Satanic Slaughter, and splits with acts like Amorth and Satanic Empire. The project moves with relentless prolificacy through the most bestial corners of extreme metal, steeped in blasphemy and sonic ugliness.
Necrowar have been grinding out death-thrash metal from the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro since 2004, building a catalogue that includes the early Blood War EP and the full-length All Trajectory, released in 2019. Their music channels the war-themed aggression of classic Brazilian extreme metal, with lyrics centering on geopolitical conflict and social struggle.
One of the most ferocious products of the late-1980s Brazilian underground, this Minas Gerais quartet — led by vocalist/guitarist Deathvomit alongside Rotten on bass and Rotten Corpse on drums — recorded the 1988 demo "Brutal Mutilation," a cassette-only release celebrated for its catastrophic rawness. The demo was reissued decades later as an LP through Nuclear War Now! Productions, cementing its cult status.
A veteran deaththrash outfit originally assembled in the late 1980s and documented by the 1987 demo "Insane Mutilation," drawing heavily from the aggressive edge of Kreator, Slayer, Celtic Frost, and Venom. After a long dormancy the band returned to activity and released the EP "The Evil Never Dies" through Oliver Discos, reaffirming their commitment to old-school extremity.
