Apokrisis is a progressive death/thrash metal band from São Paulo, Brazil, whose name derives from the ancient Greek word for "revelation." Formed around 2016 after years of earlier development, they released the debut album "Misanthropy" in 2020 — produced by Michel Villares and co-produced by Ricky Franco — drawing on influences from Slayer, Death, Pantera, and Dream Theater while exploring psychological and nihilistic lyrical themes.
