Monstrath play old-school death metal with a heavy debt to Obituary and the brutal American 80s tradition, built on thick riffs and guttural delivery. The band signed to Swedish label Downfall Records and released the single "Child of God" in 2017, followed by the full-length The World Serves to Evil in 2018.

Montanha began their career rooted in classic heavy metal and hard rock before gradually shifting toward fuzzier, psychedelic stoner rock territory. Montosse was a depressive black metal duo — instrumentalist Astratta and vocalist Érdos — whose music drew heavily from H.P. Lovecraft's mythos, with the band's very name referencing a demon from The Evil Dead. Their 2019 release Pois os Mortos Viajam Depressa... showcased bleak, introspective songwriting that found a home on multiple Brazilian DSBM compilations before the project dissolved.

Montuln is a melodic black metal band from Concepción, Chile whose music draws on Mapuche imagery and indigenous themes from southern Chile. The band debuted with Espiritu Ancestral (2012), a seven-track release featuring song titles in Mapudungún, and followed it eight years later with Arquetipo (2020), released on CD through Australis Records.

Moonforest is a black metal band from Frutillar in Chile's Los Lagos region, formed in 2018. The project's thematic focus centers on pantheism and the ancient traditions of the Chilean south, drawing from the natural and cultural landscape of the lake district of Patagonia.

Moonlight Scream began in 2012 playing death/black metal with themes of love and sorrow before pivoting toward an atmospheric, largely instrumental post-black metal sound in their later years. After a hiatus, the project resurfaced and eventually evolved into new incarnations — Ócio and then Passional — reflecting a continuous drift away from aggression and toward texture and mood.

Moonmath is a gothic/doom metal band from the interior of Rio Grande do Sul whose sound is heavy, melancholic, and psychologically dense, drawing on nihilism and introspection as core lyrical pillars. They have self-released two six-track albums — The Whisper's Hand (2017) and Isolated (released across 2018–2021) — both recorded locally and independently.
