Luís Kalil is a Brazilian neoclassical heavy metal guitarist born in Bagé, Rio Grande do Sul, who relocated to Los Angeles to study at the Musicians Institute. He released his debut album Insight in 2015 at age 15, earning international recognition and becoming the first Brazilian guitarist to perform at EMGtv studios. His 2022 single Reverse Strike, featuring Megadeth drummer Dirk Verbeuren, showcased his signature reverse tapping technique and placed him among the prominent names in contemporary shred guitar.
