Kamala is a thrash metal power trio from Campinas, São Paulo, formed by vocalist and guitarist Raphael Olmos alongside drummer Isabela Moraes and bassist Zé Cantelli. The band blends death and thrash metal riffing with oriental melodies and completed seven European tours, resulting in the live album Live in France (2019), which was widely cited as one of the best Brazilian live metal releases of that year. Their sixth studio album Karma (2023), released through French label M&O Music, further cemented their international profile, and the band was featured in the Diabolus in Musica exposition at the Philharmonie de Paris in 2024.

Their second full-length, Tetrinencia, followed in December 2022 — recorded at De La Wave Studios between 2021 and 2022 — and was dedicated to the memory of guitarist David Gómez.
