Metalhead is a thrash metal band from the Quinta Normal district of Santiago, Chile, founded by drummer Mauricio Cortés and guitarist Felipe Silva with the aim of channeling fast and aggressive thrash sounds. The band appeared on the 2020 Chilean compilation From Chile with Thrash, contributing the track Esperando el Infierno, and records through Infernal South Productions.

Metalkimista is a heavy/thrash metal band from Río Grande, Tierra del Fuego — one of the southernmost metal acts in Argentina. Their debut album La Sabia Destrucción, a twelve-track record mixed and mastered by Martín Vargas at La Mazmorra studio in Río Grande, was released on September 29, 2018.

Originally formed as Metalmad in 2012 in Mogi Guaçú, the duo of Alexandre Quadros on vocals and Alex Roque on guitar and bass relaunched as MetalMad DC with a heavier, more aggressive identity. Their Portuguese-language output spans thrash, crossover, and hardcore-tinged territory, documented across singles including 'Olhos de Medusa', 'Chinelada', and 'Depois do Coma', the last of which earned a 7/10 review from Roadie Crew.

Metalriff is a Santiago thrash metal band founded in 2017 by guitarist and vocalist Leonel Contreras, who built the project around politically charged songwriting and an increasingly refined technical approach. The band released the EP Pray or Die in 2017, the full-length Blinded in 2018, and the Australis Records-backed Under My Skin in 2020, recorded at Estudio Cordovez Productions in Santiago.

Metastasis is a death/thrash metal band from Quilpué, Valparaíso, Chile, formed in 2006 by Gabriel Quinteros and Eduardo Madariaga, whose name was suggested by a friend who had battled cancer as a reflection of the band's death-themed subject matter. Their discography spans the 2011 compilation From the Snow the Executioner Rises Again (Suffering Jesus Production), the 2014 full-length The Essence That Precedes Death, and the 2024 album Fatal Morphosis, recorded at Vardager Records in Quilpué.

Methal Kyrios is a thrash metal band from Santa Rosa, La Pampa, Argentina, formed by guitarist Santiago Robles, bassist/vocalist Mauro Queupul, and drummer Federico Montero. They have released two full-length albums — Disipando Tinieblas (2018) and Síndrome Oscuro (2021) — and were working on a third record titled ULTRA as of early 2026.

One of Rio de Janeiro's earliest thrash metal outfits, Metralion emerged in 1986 with sharp socially critical lyrics and released their debut album Quo Vadis in 1988, followed by the EP A Mosh in Brazil in 1989. After a long dormancy, both early records were reissued on CD by China's Awakening Records in 2019, reigniting interest that led to the comeback full-length Requiem for a Society in 2021.

Michel Garrido is a Santiago-based musician best known as the longtime lead guitarist of Chilean extreme metal band Necrodead. His solo work blends rock, post-metal, and folk influences, with releases including his debut album Bahual (2009) and the Australis Records-distributed Güiña (2021), the latter recorded across studios in Chile and Argentina during the country's social unrest and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Originally founded in Curitiba in the early 2000s, Minatory plays a direct strain of death/thrash with clear debts to Slayer, Death, and Obituary. Their 2002 demo "Spiritual Damnation" drew positive notices from Brazilian metal press including Rockbrigade and Whiplash, establishing the band as a fixture of the southern underground scene.
