Before Eden was a progressive power metal band from Blumenau, Santa Catarina, Brazil, founded in 1998 by guitarist Alessandro Kotlinsky. Their melodic, keyboard-driven sound — shaped by Juliano Scharf's prominent keys work — earned them recognition in Brazil's Rock Brigade magazine, where they placed 4th in the "Best National Act" category and Scharf was nominated "Best Keyboarder." The band released three studio albums: a self-titled debut (2001), "The Legacy of Gaia" (2005), and "A Realm Reborn" (2015), before eventually going inactive.
