M.D.K. is a brutal death metal and grindcore band from Jundiaí, São Paulo, Brazil, formed in 1997 by core members Thales Zago (guitars/vocals), André Lazarini (drums/bass), and Boca (vocals). The trio released three studio albums—"Splatterguts" (2005), "Cuntanasia" (2009), and "Into the Pussymorgue" (2012)—alongside a prolific run of splits with international goregrind acts including Malignant Tumour, Kadaverficker, and Rotten Penetration.
Mad Billy is a solo grindcore project from Catanduva, São Paulo state, Brazil, launched in 2023 by the multi-instrumentalist known as Billy Grind. The project's debut release, the nine-track EP A Raw Tale Mad Max (2023), was conceived as a tribute to George Miller's Mad Max universe, with Billy Grind handling all instruments, vocals, mixing, and mastering himself.
Males Fecundos was a Brasília grindcore outfit with members drawn from other local extreme metal projects, channeling social fury and disgust with human mediocrity through blunt, fast-as-possible attacks in the tradition of Napalm Death and Agathocles. Their short run produced a debut EP before the band dissolved.
A death/grind outfit born out of a desire to fuse the visceral chaos of grindcore with the heaviness of old-school death metal, Malicious Intent released their debut album "Under the Shine of the Ripping Sickle" in 2018, a misanthropic slab recorded in Brasília and mixed in São Paulo. The record channels the ruthless energy of early genre progenitors through 13 tracks of punishing, socially contemptuous extreme metal.
A one-person DIY project blending thrash, hardcore, and grindcore with a deliberately absurdist sensibility, Marafo de Exú debuted in 2016 with the 16-track album "Diabólico Alcoólico," a chaotic slab of short, fast songs delivered with raw, lo-fi ferocity. The project also released a live recording from Destroy Music Now Fest 3, capturing the same unfiltered intensity in a live setting.
Martyrizer played short, abrasive grindcore in the tradition of the Belo Horizonte extreme underground, releasing the six-track "Sick Music To An Extreme World" in April 2014. They also appeared on the compilation "Crushed Vol. II" and performed live that same year at the Metal Punk Overkill III festival before eventually disbanding.
Formed in 2020 by vocalist Yves Schneider, guitarist Israel Bianchi, bassist Dangelis Britto, and drummer Vinicius Brasil, Masennus fuse death metal's density with grindcore's aggression and tackle themes of existentialism, inner struggle, and social decay. Their debut demo "Phobos Terrorizer" and the follow-up "Disturbing Pandemic Incantations" — which includes a caustic cover of Björk's "Human Behaviour" — both appeared within months of the band's formation.
Massacred is an Argentine brutal death metal and grindcore project driven by guitarist/vocalist Christian Edwards and bassist Robert Myiasis, drawing heavy inspiration from Mortician and incorporating horror film samples and Resident Evil video game themes throughout their music. The band has been prolific across multiple releases, including the 2022 album "Human Extermination" and the 20-track "Mortal Annihilation", released in March 2025 to positive notice from No Clean Singing. Their songs typically clock in at one to two minutes, delivering non-stop blast beats and heavy riffing in the old-school brutal death metal tradition.
Mata Borrão emerged from Belo Horizonte's extreme metal underground as a side project of members from Death Dealer and later Putrifocinctor, delivering a chaotic blend of grindcore and death metal with lyrics targeting social inequality, religious fanaticism, and political alienation. Their 2014 album 'Assim Já Dizia Augusto dos Anjos' — recorded at Studio Attack in Belo Horizonte — stands as their defining statement, with the lineup of Igor Gabriel on vocals, Leandro Alves on guitars, Vitor Malta on bass, and Thiago Pena on drums.
