Bleak Transcendence is a funeral doom/death metal trio from Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil, formed in 2023 by Alexandre Antunes, Michael Siegwarth, and Wagner Müller. The band released their debut album "Mortuanima" in May 2025, a 48-minute work fusing the ferocious intensity of death metal with hauntingly slow funeral doom, enriched by synths, violins, and ethereal textures conveying desolation and introspection.

HellLight is a funeral doom/death metal trio from São Paulo, Brazil, comprising Fabio de Paula (guitar, vocals, keyboards), Robson Silva (drums), and Alexandre Vida (bass). The band has released a substantial catalog including "No God Above, No Devil Below" (2013) and "Journey Through Endless Storms" (2015), the latter earning praise for its balance of atmospheric keyboards, death growls, and melodic guitar work. Their eighth full-length album, "We, The Dead", was released in 2025 on Meuse Music Records.

Mortiferik is a one-man funeral doom project built around the bleakest end of the death/doom spectrum, drawing on the suffocating pace and crushing despair of the genre's key forebears. The project released the "Empire of Sadness Returns" EP and appeared on the "Doomed Serenades" Brazilian doom compilation, marking it as a committed voice in the country's underground doom scene.

A three-piece funeral doom outfit recorded at GoreZone Studios in Belém, My Funeral Dream released the EP A Beleza De Um Funeral and the album Introspectivo in early 2017, both sung in Portuguese. Their sound leans heavily on suffocating tempos and cavernous vocals, placing them firmly in the tradition of European funeral doom while maintaining a distinctly raw, underground Brazilian aesthetic.

Old Coffin Spirit deal in the slowest and most suffocating end of funeral doom, lacing it with black metal atmospherics to produce a sound steeped in death, darkness, and drifting spirits. Their 2015 debut, Out of the Dark...Into the Light, lays out seven tracks of cavernous, crawling misery, with song titles like "Ancient Soul" and "Nocturnal Fog" telegraphing exactly the mood they're after.
