Lábar'Oculto is a black/doom metal band from Piraju, São Paulo, formed in 2017, whose lyrics draw on poetry, literature, and occultism. The band released their self-titled debut album in 2020 through Misanthropic Records and Black Hearts Records, recorded at Amarello Sound Studio between 2017 and 2019. The album was preceded by the single Lábar'Oculto (Contravulgata) and a live recording from UMF XVIII.

Mar de Grises was formed in Santiago, Chile in 2000, developing a death/doom sound that incorporated post-rock, ambient, and progressive elements into their dense compositional framework. Their debut The Tatterdemalion Express (2004) established them as a significant voice in South American doom, followed by Draining the Waterheart (2008) and Streams Inwards (2010), the latter named the top doom metal album of 2010 by Metal Storm's user base. The band dissolved in 2013 but announced a reunion in 2024, their catalog standing as one of the most ambitious in Latin American extreme metal.

Formed in Barbacena, Minas Gerais in 2005 by bassist Delmario Lauriano and guitarist/vocalist Rodrigo Costa, Marmorium Crucis blended gothic doom with deathrock and psychedelic textures, drawing lyrical themes from regional folklore — sanatoriums, cemeteries, and misty streets. Their 2011 demo Le chemin de croix des ames collects nine originals alongside a cover of the Rolling Stones' "Gimme Shelter", capturing the band's phantasmagoric aesthetic before their eventual dissolution.
