Lacryma Sanguine is a death/doom metal band from Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil, active since 2008 and among the few doom metal acts to emerge from the northeast of the country. They released their debut digital EP As The Autumn Ends in 2008 via KillZone Records, followed by their first full-length album Amongst These Walls in 2012, distributed by Chilean label FunerART, drawing on the melodic heaviness of My Dying Bride, Saturnus, and Swallow the Sun.

Lignum Mortis is a one-man black and doom metal project from Valdivia, in southern Chile, that merges sounds drawn from death metal, black metal, and dark ambient to create densely layered sonic landscapes. The project's self-titled debut was released in 2015 as a limited CD-R run of 30 copies before being made available digitally, followed by Vacuum Inferno in 2022 and Lignum Mortis II in December 2025. All music, recording, mixing, mastering, and artwork are handled entirely by the sole member.

Lizard Cult is a sludge/doom metal band from São Paulo, Brazil, formed in 2023. The band self-produced their debut release "Triptych", a three-track album issued in October 2023, recorded by Otávio Bonazzi at Dissenso Studio and mixed and mastered by Henrique Fonseca at Groove Estúdio. The release was noted in the Doom Charts for March 2023 and positions the band firmly within Brazil's growing heavy underground scene.

Low Levels of Serotonin is a melodic death/doom metal project from Americana, São Paulo, Brazil, led by multi-instrumentalist Wilian Gonçalves, formerly the guitarist of Desdominus. The band released their debut album Katharsis in 2019 through Heavy Metal Rock Records, followed by a second album, In the Entrails of My Mind, in 2022. Their sound combines heavy, melancholic riffing with introspective lyrics and significant tempo variation across both records.

Lucifer's Doom is a black/doom metal band from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, active since 2015. The band released a self-titled EP in June 2015, a three-track CDr debut that blends avant-garde black metal atmospherics with mournful doom sensibilities. Their sound features high baritone vocals over heavy, slow-burning riffs with lyrical themes drawn from Christian eschatology.

Lábar'Oculto is a black/doom metal band from Piraju, São Paulo, formed in 2017, whose lyrics draw on poetry, literature, and occultism. The band released their self-titled debut album in 2020 through Misanthropic Records and Black Hearts Records, recorded at Amarello Sound Studio between 2017 and 2019. The album was preceded by the single Lábar'Oculto (Contravulgata) and a live recording from UMF XVIII.

Lâmmia is a stoner/doom metal band from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, formed in 2018, pairing heavy and dense riff-driven instrumentation with bluesy female vocals. The band released their self-titled EP in 2018, which includes the track "Acid Trip," and has been featured in compilations spotlighting the Brazilian stoner and doom scene. Their sound draws on heavy psych and classic doom traditions while retaining a distinctly soulful sensibility.
