Death Yell formed in Santiago in the late 1980s and recorded their 1989 demo 'Vengeance from Darkness' at Procor Studios, a release that achieved cult status in the global underground and led to split releases with Finland's Beherit and the Morbid Rites 7" on Seraphic Decay Records in 1992. After disbanding in 1991, the band reactivated and returned with the full-length 'Descent into Hell' in 2017, followed by the 'Asmodeus' Disciples' demo and the LP 'Demons of Lust' in 2025. Their sound draws on the raw, violent tradition of South American death and black metal, with clear debts to Brazilian extreme acts of the same era.
