Taking their name from the Latin phrase meaning "we strive for what has been forbidden," this black metal trio — Prometheus on vocals, Draco Bellator on guitar, and Summum Luison on drums — operates within a framework of occultism, philosophy, and left-hand-path humanism. Their 2014 EP Lançamo-nos Rumo ao Proibido established them in the Goiás underground, pursuing a cold, uncompromising style rooted in old-school black metal aesthetics.

The project released its debut full-length, Winter Spells, in December 2017, followed by Landscape of Discord in 2019 via German label Naturmacht Productions, and the EP My Spectre Around Me Night and Day in 2021, the latter drawing its lyrics from William Blake poetry.

Nocturnal Terror was a one-man black/speed/thrash project driven entirely by Evokator of Storms — handling all guitars, bass, drums, and vocals — with Venom, Hellhammer, Sodom, and Bathory as its declared cornerstones. The project released a series of recordings including the debut full-length Bestial Messiah and the EPs Blasphemous Crushing of Angels and Tormentor, the latter leaning deliberately into first-wave speed metal primitivism.
Recife, BR · 2022–present · active
Nocturnal Winter operate in the most obscure tier of the northeast underground, playing raw corpse-painted black metal with no concession to modernization. The band released two full-lengths — Shaitan a Face da Revelação Iniciática in 2004 and Sadomarsonáculo in 2008 — and have maintained a near-invisible profile outside of dedicated Brazilian extreme metal circles ever since.
São Luís, BR · 2018–present · active
Nordeath deal in the unholy intersection of speed and black metal, drawing equal inspiration from Bathory, Kreator, and Cruel Force as from Brazilian forebears Sarcófago and Whipstriker. Their 2018 debut EP O Chamado do Abismo announced a band committed to old-school underground ugliness, and they have since been signed to Norway's Edged Circle Productions, with a full-length following.
Manaus, BR · 2014–present · split-up
The solo project of Kavera, Northern Forest merged raw black metal aggression with expansive dark ambient passages inspired by the Amazonian landscape and the themes of seasons, night, and misanthropy. Releases including the album Natureza and the cassette A Eternal Winter on Depressive Illusions Records captured a desolate, nature-saturated sound rooted deeply in the northernmost reaches of Brazil.
