Lendas Ocultas is a black metal band from Brasília, Brazil, with roots going back to an earlier incarnation active from 1999 to 2005 before reforming around 2014. Their release Orgen Eugnas came out on December 3, 2019 through the German label Wolfmond Production as a limited CDr edition of 100 copies, containing five tracks of raw, anti-Christian black metal. The band's vocalist is also associated with the Haeretikus Production label.

Lenhador is a black metal band from Não-Me-Toque, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, formed in 2005. The band blends raw black metal with crust and punk elements, evidenced across three releases: The Fall of the Wood (2005), Crescente Entropia Universal (2007), and The Pope Smokes Dope (2010), the last issued through Cauterized Productions. Their discography includes covers of Regurgitate and Ildjarn, reflecting a wide-ranging underground sensibility.

Lethal Infection are a black/death/thrash metal band from Santiago, Chile, who began releasing material in 2017 with the demo Holy Pervertor and quickly followed it with a second demo, The Chant of the Black Prophecies. The band appeared on the split CD Morbid Chants from Southamerican Abyss alongside Putrid, released through Morbid Skull Records.

Lied des Waldes — German for "Song of the Forest" — is an atmospheric black metal project from Blumenau, Santa Catarina, Brazil. Their 2017 album "Withering Shades of Pale" is a seven-track release blending raw black metal with post-black metal elements and acoustic interludes, drawing on nature-themed lyrical imagery rooted in the German cultural heritage of the region.

Lignum Mortis is a one-man black and doom metal project from Valdivia, in southern Chile, that merges sounds drawn from death metal, black metal, and dark ambient to create densely layered sonic landscapes. The project's self-titled debut was released in 2015 as a limited CD-R run of 30 copies before being made available digitally, followed by Vacuum Inferno in 2022 and Lignum Mortis II in December 2025. All music, recording, mixing, mastering, and artwork are handled entirely by the sole member.

Llankazo is a black/death metal band from Santiago, Chile who released their first demo rehearsal in October 2018 before putting out their self-titled debut full-length in May 2021. Their sound blends black, death, and thrash metal influences within the underground extreme metal tradition of the Chilean capital.

Lobregal was a black metal band from Posadas, Misiones, Argentina, originally formed in 2003 by vocalist and keyboardist Walter Núñez. The band released their sole full-length album Para vivir hay que matar in November 2015 on the Ukrainian label Depressive Illusions Records, a nine-track record with doom and gothic influences, supplemented by a live bonus track.

Lord Death Hypocrisy is a black metal band from Villavicencio, Colombia, formed in 2013. The band has released the singles "Fuego eterno" (2013) and "Apocalíptica" (2017) as an independent act.

Los Males del Mundo is a black metal project from Buenos Aires founded by Cristian Yans and Dany Tee (also of Acathexis and Downfall of Nur), with Nikita Kamprad of Der Weg Einer Freiheit contributing as producer and guest bassist. They debuted with the EP L.M.D.M. in October 2020, then released the debut full-length Descent Towards Death on February 26, 2021 through Northern Silence Productions — a five-track, forty-minute album drawing lyrically on Nietzsche, Cioran, and Schopenhauer. The album received coverage from Invisible Oranges and other metal press as a notable debut in atmospheric black metal.
