Fallen Gabriel is an atmospheric black metal solo project from Rio de Janeiro, founded in 2021 by the musician known as Dominus Gargoyle, who crafts immersive soundscapes exploring themes of melancholy and darkness. The project released The Benevolence of Death in 2021 and followed it with From the Heavens I Fell in 2022, the latter issued on cassette by Rotting Sun Records in 2023. Fallen Gabriel has been highlighted by Phase B Records as one of the notable black metal voices emerging from the Rio de Janeiro underground.
Fallen Spell is a Brazilian raw atmospheric black metal project, formed in 2015, that explores the unconscious mind and dreamlike states through a blend of abrasive noise and melancholic passages. The project released the full-length Retorno às Sombras in 2025, an eight-track album running approximately 38 minutes, alongside earlier recordings including Ausência Suspensa and the Cold Room demo.
Faraon is a one-man black metal project from San Miguel, Buenos Aires, created by a musician known as Temptor Princnegsur. The project released the demo "Testimonios de Esferas Superiores e Inferiores al Sol..." (T.E.S.I.S.) in 2000, a 60-minute eight-track recording blending epic, keyboard-driven black metal with esoteric and Satanic philosophical themes; it was reissued in 2017 by Sons of Hell Prod. after years of obscurity.
Feretral is a black metal band from Duque de Caxias, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, formed in 2020. The band brands their sound "Sewer Metal" and features members performing under pseudonyms including Bestial Vomit, Deoarsprofanum, Hell S., and Splatter. Their 2021 release The Temple Ov Feretral, a limited cassette edition of 150 hand-numbered copies, collects 17 tracks of raw, lo-fi black metal alongside covers of Darkthrone and Sepultura.
Feretri is a black/doom metal project from Melipilla, Chile that released the demo "In Sepulcro" in 2024, featuring five tracks recorded in a home studio in January 2021. The material leans into funereal doom aesthetics, with track titles like "Catalepsia," "Tétrica Liturgia," and "Funeral Nocturno" anchoring the release in death-obsessed, slow-burning darkness.
Fiambre Social is a black punk death metal band from Punta Arenas, Chile, playing what they describe as incendiary rock and roll rooted in anti-religious and anti-system themes. Their 2020 debut "La rebelión del cadáver" was executed, recorded, and mixed by Darío Haro, and includes a cover of Eskorbuto alongside five original tracks steeped in raw punk aggression and death metal grime.
Final Maze is a Brazilian black metal project formed in 2023, featuring vocalist JP Delicato. The band released a string of recordings in their debut year, including the two-track digital single Shadows and Echoes in November 2023, which was inspired by a trip to Athens and Phraxos, Greece, and the full-length The First Floor in December 2023. Their Bandcamp presence explicitly opposes NSBM, positioning the project within the anti-fascist wing of the black metal underground.
Florbela was an antifascist black metal project from Brasília, Brazil, active in 2022 before splitting up. The project contributed the track "Bastardos" to the 2022 Black Metal Rainbows compilation, a collection of queer, trans, and antifascist underground black metal acts released in November of that year. Their inclusion on that internationally distributed compilation placed them within the global wave of politically engaged extreme metal emerging from Brazil in the early 2020s.
