Founded by bassist Samuka as a vehicle for weaving Egyptian history and mythology into power metal, Medjay released their debut "Sandstorm" in November 2020 through Voice Music, followed by "Cleopatra VII" in 2022, produced at Shokran Studios. Their sound incorporates melodic elements drawn from Arabic musical scales alongside driving double-bass rhythms and soaring clean vocals.
