Depressed is an old-school death metal band from Santo André, São Paulo, Brazil, originally formed in 1998, with activity resuming around 2012. Signed to Black Lion Records, the band released their debut album Afterlife in Darkness in 2015 and followed it with Beyond the Putrid Fiction in 2019, both marked by fast blasting rhythms, thrashy riffs, and frenzied solos.
