Brutal Abyss is a death metal band from Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil, evolving from an earlier project known as Dry Curse. The band released their debut full-length "Misanthropic Butcher" in 2018 through Extreme Sound Records, a ten-track album praised for its quality and passion and noted for influences from 1990s bands such as Grave and Gorguts. The album received top marks from multiple Brazilian metal publications and earned the band a physical CD release distributed across Brazilian metal shops.
