Los Antiguos is a Buenos Aires stoner metal band founded in late 2012 by Pato Larralde (vocalist of Sauron) alongside members of Avernal and Cruzdiablo, with lyrical themes centered on aliens and personal experience rather than the high fantasy of their other projects. They released the EP Simple in May 2013, followed by the debut album Madera Prohibida in May 2015 and the second album Oro para las naves in May 2019, the latter issued in a limited special edition packaged as a replica UFO. The band has been a regular presence at Buenos Aires festivals including Noiseground and Viaje de Agua.
Los Buscadores del Movimiento Perpetuo (The Seekers of Perpetual Motion) are a Buenos Aires stoner metal band formed in 2011 who blend dense, slow-tuned metal with the atmosphere of cult horror cinema. They released the album Una de Zombies in 2011, followed by Rendiran Culto a la Muerte in 2013 and Mil Días de Viaje in November 2014, and made their full catalog available for free download on Bandcamp. The band has been on hold since the mid-2010s.
Los Kuro are a Buenos Aires stoner metal trio whose sound incorporates heavy psych, post-doom, and sludge. Their debut Demo appeared in July 2013, followed by Volumen I (April 2014) — a conceptual record built around longer progressive jams — and subsequent releases including 1 ½ (2015), Silencio (2017), and IV (2018). The Volumen I lineup featured Manuel Ferreira on guitar, Mauro Cristy on bass, and Andrés Salaverri on drums.
Los Yithians are a doom and stoner metal trio from San Martín, Argentina, whose name references the Great Race of Yith from H.P. Lovecraft's fiction. Their debut album Pnakotus — seven tracks recorded live in October 2016 and mixed and mastered at 7 Cuchillos Records by Marcos Verón — was released in May 2017. The band's lineup on that record consisted of Edgar Sosa on guitar and vocals, Gastón Olaguibet on bass, and Alberto Adrián on drums.
