Massacre em Alphaville are a crust and sludge metal band from São Paulo who have been grinding out politically and environmentally charged material since the early 2000s. Their 2009 mini-CD Vacilou na Quebrada, Dorme na Vala and the 2015 full-length Estilhaços de Ilusão showcase a raw, communal approach built around multiple vocalists and a thick, feedback-drenched sound rooted in the city's underground hardcore scene.
Monster Coyote were a power trio who built a following in the South American stoner/sludge underground with their debut album The Howling (2012) and the follow-up Neckbreaker (2015), the latter earning positive notices beyond the region. Active until around 2018, the band performed at major Brazilian festivals including Festival DoSol and toured across South America before splitting up.
Noth is a solo project by the multi-instrumentalist known as Niili, who started in raw black metal territory with vegetarian and environmental themes before pivoting toward heavier sludge, doom, and noise textures.
