Somdark is a raw black metal band from Mérida, Venezuela, active since the late 1990s and a former member of the now-dissolved C.M.B. (Cantus Maleficorum Bestiae) Congregation, a collective of Venezuelan underground black metal acts. The band has released a large body of work including Guerreros del Foso, Vltracosmos (2022), Taknara (2022), and Kaos (2025), with themes of strength, nihilism, and heresy running throughout. Their recordings have appeared on Wolfmond Production.

The project's debut demo Tangible Dawn of Malicious Dreams, a four-track tape released in April 2019, was followed by the 2025 release Upon the Threshold of Crimson Flesh.
